Net orders, 2026 H1
Net commercial aircraft orders booked, January–June 2026.
About this data
The order gap is wider than the delivery gap: 821 net orders for Airbus against 408 for Boeing. Airbus’s gross 2026 order book reached 886 aircraft at the mid-year mark. Boeing is gaining sales momentum but is still working through a backlog-and-rate recovery that analysts put roughly three years behind Airbus.

Methodology & sources
Last updated: Aug 14, 2026Methodology
Deliveries and net orders are taken from each manufacturer’s own monthly orders-and-deliveries disclosure for the period January to June 2026, cross-checked against Forecast International’s monthly summary. Net orders are gross orders less cancellations, as each company defines them — the definitions are consistent between the two, so the comparison holds. Airbus Q2 revenue and adjusted operating profit are as reported in the H1 2026 results. "Adjusted" excludes items Airbus identifies as non-recurring; it is not an IFRS measure. CAVEAT: delivery counts are a production-rate measure, not a demand measure. Boeing’s smaller delivery number reflects rate recovery constraints rather than a shortfall of orders in hand.
