Terms of Use

Last updated: June 17, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of deepstoryresearch.com and its content (the "Site"), operated by Deepstory Research ("we", "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The service

The Site provides research articles, interactive data visualizations, downloadable data tables, and AI-ready context files across a range of sectors. Some features require a free account.

Data accuracy & no warranty

The figures, charts, and analyses on the Site are compiled from publicly available and third-party sources and are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for general informational purposes only. While we cross-reference data and work to keep it accurate and current, we make no representations or warranties of any kind — express or implied — about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or timeliness of any data or content. Datasets are estimates that may differ from other sources, may be revised, and may become outdated. Any reliance you place on the content is strictly at your own risk. Source attributions identify where underlying figures originate; we are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party source data.

Not professional advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, or other professional advice, and it should not be relied upon as such. You should obtain independent advice before making any decision based on the content. Where the Site discusses markets, securities, or similar topics, it does so for informational purposes only and not as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Disabling your account

You can disable your account at any time from your account settings. Disabling is a self-service lockout, not a permanent deletion. When you disable your account:

  • You are signed out immediately and cannot sign in with the same email address for 30 days from the moment you disable. Attempting to log in during this window will be refused with a message indicating the date the lockout lifts.
  • Your data is retained, not deleted. Saved research, download history, profile details, and interest/recommendation settings are kept intact so the account is whole if you return. Disabling does not erase personal data — if you want your data removed, contact us using the details below.
  • No new account activity (saves, downloads, recommendation signals) is recorded while the account is disabled.
  • Reactivation is automatic. After the 30-day window elapses, the lockout lifts on its own — simply sign in again with the same email to resume using your account. No support request is required.

This self-disable lockout is separate from any suspension or termination we may apply for violations of these Terms, as described above.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content except as expressly permitted;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or other users' data;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by overloading or probing it;
  • misrepresent the source of our data or republish it in a misleading way;
  • use the Site in violation of any applicable law.

Intellectual property & permitted use

The Site's original analyses, text, design, and compilations are owned by us or our licensors. You may view content for personal and internal business use and may cite or quote limited portions with clear attribution and a link back to the source page. Underlying third-party data remains subject to the rights of its original owners. You may not resell or redistribute substantial portions of the Site's content without our permission.

Third-party links and advertising

The Site may link to third-party websites and may display advertising. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Site or its content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed USD 100.

Changes

We may modify the Site or these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted, indicated by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
