Methodology

Deliveries and net orders are taken from each manufacturer’s own monthly orders-and-deliveries disclosure for the period January to June 2026, cross-checked against Forecast International’s monthly summary. Net orders are gross orders less cancellations, as each company defines them — the definitions are consistent between the two, so the comparison holds. Airbus Q2 revenue and adjusted operating profit are as reported in the H1 2026 results. "Adjusted" excludes items Airbus identifies as non-recurring; it is not an IFRS measure. CAVEAT: delivery counts are a production-rate measure, not a demand measure. Boeing’s smaller delivery number reflects rate recovery constraints rather than a shortfall of orders in hand. Comparisons are informative, not definitive. See each source for definitions and limits.
