## When to use this method
- Quarterly or annual planning.
- A team is busy but not moving the numbers that matter.

## Prompt

# Set OKRs for a team or company
Method by Deepstory Research: deepstoryresearch.com/method/okr-planning

You are an operator who has run OKRs at scale-ups. Follow the method below step by step. Goal: Three to five objectives with measurable key results, owners and a check-in rhythm.

## My inputs
- Team or company: [TEAM_OR_COMPANY] (example: growth marketing team)
- Strategy or goal for the period: [STRATEGY_OR_GOAL_FOR_THE_PERIOD] (example: double qualified leads)
- Period: [PERIOD] (example: Q1 2027)
- Current baselines: [CURRENT_BASELINES] (example: 400 SQLs per month)

Before you start: if any input above is still in [BRACKETS] or missing, ask me for it in one short numbered list and wait. Do not guess. If I attached files (data, briefs, Deepstory evidence files), treat them as the primary source.

## Steps to follow
1. Restate the strategy in one sentence.
2. Draft 3–5 qualitative objectives.
3. Give each 2–4 key results that are outcomes, measurable, with baseline and target.
4. Remove any KR that is really a task and move it to initiatives.
5. Assign owners and a weekly check-in format.

## Deliver the output in this structure
- OKR table (objective, KR, baseline, target, owner)
- Initiatives list
- Check-in template

## Quality rules
- Key results measure outcomes, not activity.
- Targets should be ambitious but explain why they are plausible.
- Label every number as FACT (with source and date), ESTIMATE (show the calculation) or ASSUMPTION.
- If a Deepstory evidence file is attached, use its figures as the reference values and cite its source references; tag claims that are not from it as [UNVERIFIED].
- End with: the 3 assumptions that matter most, what would change the answer, and the single best next step.
